
Elyse Blackshaw is a London-based artist and fashion illustrator working with a diverse range of clients across marketing, retail, hospitality and education. Her vibrant and energetic artworks transform events and live experiences.
Elyse studied BA (Hons) Embroidery at Manchester School of Art in 2013, where she discovered a strong instinctive connection to drawing, collage and fashion image-making. Later in 2021, she completed MA in Textiles, Mixed Media at the Royal College of Art .
Her signature style, defined by fluid black lines and a playful approach to colour and mixed-media, has attracted a wide range of collaborations. Elyse is also a regular presence at London Fashion Week, where she has illustrated live for designers such as Stephen Jones Millinery, Ashish, Phoebe English, Lueder and Denzil Patrick.
Elyse also contributes to the fashion illustration field through education and industry engagement. She has served as a Graduate Fashion Week workshop host since 2020, and panel judge for the Fashion Illustration Award since 2023. Elyse is a fully qualified teacher since 2015, having taught across all age ranges from primary, secondary, FE and HE. She is a Visiting Lecturer at Manchester School of Art and Manchester Fashion Institute, as well as an Associate Lecturer at the University for the Creative Arts. Outside of education, Elyse has supported public community arts such as the Wandsworth Arts Fringe Festival 2024, London Borough of Culture 2025, and The British Library Fairy tales exhibition 2026.
