This year marked a significant milestone in my artistic journey—I illustrated Harris Reed’s designs for the first time. Known for his ethereal, gender-fluid creations, Reed’s work has always fascinated me, but translating his vision into illustration presented an exciting new challenge.

Harris Reed’s designs are a masterful blend of historical references, opulent fabrics, and a rebellious spirit that challenges traditional norms in fashion. His silhouettes are dramatic, often featuring sweeping capes, corsetry, and intricate detailing that demand careful attention. As I began sketching, I found myself drawn to the theatricality of his pieces, striving to capture their grandeur and movement while preserving the essence of fluidity that defines his work.

One of the most thrilling aspects of this process was experimenting with different techniques to bring his designs to life. From bold ink outlines to soft pro marker washes, I explored various mediums to see which best conveyed the essence of Reed’s vision. Gold accents became a key element in my work, mirroring the luxurious finishes that frequently appear in his collections.
Illustrating Harris Reed for the first time allowed me to push my creative boundaries and refine my approach to fashion illustration. His designs tell stories of self-expression, identity, and artful defiance—values that deeply resonate with me. This experience has not only deepened my appreciation for his artistry but also expanded my own artistic perspective.

I look forward to continuing this journey, illustrating more of his collections and further immersing myself in the world of Harris Reed’s boundary-pushing designs. This is just the beginning of what I hope will be a long and inspired exploration of his visionary work.
