LIVE EVENT ILLUSTRATOR LONDON
In a world where most content is consumed through a screen, watching a drawing emerge in real time creates a different kind of interaction. Guests gather around, conversations begin naturally and people become curious about the creative process. By the time the artwork is revealed, they experience of watching is is just as exciting as having the outcome. Like the experience of an artist, the process is more valuable than the final result.
As a London-based live event illustrator, I create fashion sketches, guest portraits and bespoke illustrated experiences for fashion, retail, hospitality and cultural events. Whether working at a product launch, luxury brand activation, networking event or private celebration, my aim is always the same: to create artwork that helps people connect with the moment they are experiencing.
My illustrations mimic that of my fashion illustrations; stylised, fluid, fun and full of energy.
Previous clients include MSSY Vintage, Querido, Strathberry x Shrimps, Gung Ho, Brand Wave, Selfridges, The Adobe FA Cup, The London Edition Hotel, The Shard.
ILLUSTRATION AS PART OF THE EVENT EXPERIENCE
The best live illustration doesn't sit separately from an event. It becomes part of the atmosphere, from the way the illustrator moves as they draw, to the lines of the sketch mirroring the music.
Guests often return several times throughout the evening to drawings develop. Some watch from a distance, while others become involved through conversation or by sharing the experience with friends and colleagues. The artwork becomes both entertainment and a personalised keepsake.
What I enjoy most about live events is their unpredictability. Every guest has a different energy and every event has its own rhythm. Rather than producing identical portraits, I respond to the character of the occasion, creating drawings that feel specific to that moment and place.

LIVE EVENT ILLUSTRATION FOR FASHION, RETAIL AND LUXURY BRANDS
Live illustration has become increasingly popular with brands looking to create memorable experiences and genuine engagement.
I regularly work with clients across fashion, retail, hospitality and lifestyle sectors, creating artwork that encourages interaction and adds a personal touch to events. Illustrations can be created on paper, packaging, invitations, gifts, menus or branded materials, depending on the experience a client wants to create. Figurative drawings are most popular, but I am always open to discussing other ways we can engage guests.
The drawing process itself is visual and interactive, and so it often generates organic content for social media. Guests want to document the process and celebrate the final artwork, there for it supports extending the brand's reach beyond the event.
FASHION EVENTS AND LONDON FASHION WEEK
My background as a fashion illustrator naturally informs the way I approach live events.
Having spent years sketching fashion shows, backstage environments and street style during London Fashion Week, I have developed a fast and instinctive approach to drawing people in motion. Rather than focusing solely on likeness, I am interested in gesture, personality and energy.
This makes live illustration particularly effective for fashion brand events, where capturing the energy of a collection or audience can be just as important as recording what they are wearing. This way of drawing is not limited to fashion though, other industries want to bring this stylised approach into their worlds too. I have worked for many non-fashion clients such as The Adobe Women's FA Cup, luxury travel company Querido, and beautiful London venues such as The London Edition Hotel.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Every event is slightly different, so I tailor the approach to suit the audience, timeframe and objectives of the project.
For guest portraits/figures, attendees can either sit briefly or be photographed so they can continue enjoying the event while the illustration is completed. Many clients choose guests to be photographed so to maximise the amount of guests drawn, and so that guests can continue socialising. Most sketches take around ten minutes, allowing a steady flow of guests throughout the event.
I arrive around 30 minutes before the event with all necessary drawing materials and equipment , working closely with organisers beforehand to ensure everything runs smoothly.
RECENT CLIENTS AND COLLABORATIONS
My live illustration work has been commissioned by organisations across fashion, retail, hospitality, sports and cultural sectors.
Alongside live drawing, I have created personalised invitations, workshop experiences, marketing illustrations and bespoke guest activations. These projects often begin with a simple idea and evolve into something entirely unique to the event.
If you're planning an event and would like to explore how illustration could become part of the experience, I'd be happy to discuss ideas.
